Property Insurance

There are two types of property losses covered by property insurance:

  • Property loss, theft, damage, or destruction may be covered as direct losses
  • Indirect or consequential losses related to direct losses may also be covered

General Liability Insurance for Businesses

The primary purpose of Casualty Insurance is to protect an insured party against liability claims made by others.

Business liability policies cover the following:

  • Premises and Operation
  • Fire Damage Liability (damage by fire to premises rented to insured)
  • Personal and Advertising Injury
  • Medical Payments
  • Products/Completed Operations

If you want to save time and money on your total insurance program, you may want to consider purchasing a Business Owners Package which combines all of your Liability, Property, and other types of coverage into one comprehensive policy. You may also want to consider adding an umbrella insurance policy to your liability coverage, since we live in a time of million-dollar lawsuits. You can learn more about these plans and determine if they are right for you.

Workers' Compensation Insurance

Occupational diseases and injuries are covered by workers' compensation. An accident must cause bodily injury, and the term also includes death caused by the accident. It does not cover occupational diseases, which are unique to an occupation.

Four types of benefits are provided by workers' compensation insurance:

  • Medical benefits
  • Income benefits
  • Death benefits
  • Rehabilitation benefits

You can get more detailed information about Workers' Compensation Insurance from a representative and learn how to control expenses through safety engineering and claim services.

On the policy declarations (front page), the First Named Insured is listed first. All named insureds entrust this insured with initiating cancellations, changing policies, or accepting refunds. Premium payments may also be the responsibility of the first named insured.

An Additional Insured is an entity whose coverage is extended by a policy. Before a claim can be paid, an additional insured must be added to the policy. Additional insureds and named insureds must be connected. A person who is an additional insured on another's policy does not eliminate the need for them to have their own Commercial General Liability policy.
